About MIRE

Mire Marke is an Albanian American writer. Her first short story The Cottage appeared in Brigid’s Gate Anthology "Crimson Bones.” Her work has been featured in Votra Magazine, APOFENIE Magazine, The Cabochon Review, Loud Coffee Press and more.

Mire grew up dividing her time between the U.S., Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro. Her work takes on identity, belonging, and intergenerational trauma. From poetry to her upcoming novel, she explores the divergent paths of immigrants and their children.
